We meet on the
First and Third Wednesday of every month from 19.30 to 21.30
Our structure is unique in that we provide training for our members to bring them up to RYA recognised standards - so that they can provide a service for the community in a safe and skilled manner. Training is given to our members through a shared knowledge scheme whereby those who already have Maritime Qualifications (such as RYA Yacht master and Day Skipper etc) pass their knowledge on to less experienced members through classroom exercises and practical boat instruction. This means that the costs of running the unit are really low and so making it possible for those people of limited funds to come and join. We are open to anyone between the ages of 18 to 80 and provide an opportunity to 'Get out on the Water' and be safe, the emphasis heavily on being safe.
