RYA Day Skipper Theory Course Induction Monday 23rd Dec

posted Dec 6, 2013, 4:57 AM by Ray Smith

The RYA Day Skipper theory course compliments the practical boating you will gain within the MVS enabling you to safely execute short coastal passages. It's an essential course for those wishing to reach the level of MVS Sea Cox but requires no previous knowledge and can be taken whatever level you are at.

Our unit is teaming up with Poole based RYA school 'Powerboat Training UK' to offer you the online version of this course at the discount rate of £180. The course takes about 40 Hours to complete and will be spread over 8-10 weeks with support and help available at our Monday evening meetings (you can also work at your own pace if you prefer).

To kick this off we would like to have an induction evening at the Firestation 7:30pm on Monday 23rd Dec when Paul Glatzel will come over, explain the course, hand out the information packs and set everyone up with their online accounts.

If you would like to take part in this course please let the units Head Of Seamanship, Ray Smith know ASAP
